I want to take the time to talk about one of my favorite garden plants, Calendula, also known as Marigold or Pot Marigold (not to get confused though with True Marigold or French Marigold)
Appealing to the eyes in it's variety of sunset colors. Gentle in nature to any neighboring plant, human and animal. This powerful flowering herb has been used for centuries. Skin problems? Infection? Immune support? Both internally and externally, this plant has you covered with its many healing and uplifting properties.

The way in which you can use this beautiful flowering plant is endless. You can make creams, oils and teas! and so much more. Some people even sprinkle petals into salads, jams and cookies.
How To?
The main two ingredients in my Soothing Body Oil is Calendula and Sunflower Oil. However, I occasionally like to add a little pizazz and in this batch I also added : part olive oil, chamomile, juniper berries, eucalyptus and ginger - each of these having their own healing properties.
Creating this herbal infused oil can be done by boiling on the stove or sat over time in the sunshine - all depending on how much time you've got!
